I’ve always been a huge fan of music. After looking through tons of articles and album reviews, I started thinking about a way to look at music more objectively. Enter: Drop the Databass - the product of my love for Hip-Hop and data. By using data to explore the samples, history, and numbers behind some of my favorite hits, I want to answer some burning questions around popular perceptions of Hip-Hop and the cultural context it is rooted in.
